New details are revealed from the attempt to burn the 16-year-old girl with gasoline in Tirana. The minor told an officer the entire tragic scene, where her roommate, Ardit Çela, together with his two friends, tried to burn her with gasoline on the steps of the building.
According to the investigative file that is now being followed by the prosecutor of Tirana Saimir Hysa, the main author of this crime is Ardit Çela, the son of a former police officer in Tirana.
Çela has had disagreements with the young girl recently due to suspicions of treason. He surveilled the 16-year-old one day, spotting her with another person in the hotel. This has led Çela to take revenge, in the most extreme form, by implementing the plan to burn the 16-year-old with gasoline.
The key is considered by the structures of police station no. 2 in Tirana as a criminal contingent and accompanied several times to the police. But this time he became the protagonist of a serious event, trying to kill his roommate, who he doused with gasoline and then wanted to set her on fire with a lighter.
According to the girl's testimony, the roommate had provided gasoline in a small can used for soft drinks.
The testimony of the 16-year-old
The tragedy was avoided by the 16-year-old girl herself, who just smelled the gasoline, with which her roommate painted her, started to react immediately.
" ...I saw Ardit wash me on the steps of the palace with a small can, which he had filled with gasoline.
I could smell the gasoline, and I was very scared. Arditi took out a lighter from his pocket and there, terrified, I ran away through the buildings asking for help... " - the 16-year-old told the police.
The latter was addressed to police station no. 2 in Tirana by filing a criminal complaint, and told the whole incident.
After the complaint, the police escorted and arrested Ardit Çela, for the charge of "Deliberate murder" remaining in the attempt, and two of his friends who were together at the time of dousing the 16-year-old with gasoline.
During the questioning, Ardit Çela did not accept to be the author of the incident, maintaining a negative attitude to the police. It is expected that in the following days he will appear before the Tirana court, to be familiar with the security measure of "arrest in prison".
