During the 2024 work report this Monday in Parliament, SPAK leader Altin Dumani was asked by Democratic MP Luciano Boçi regarding the Special Prosecution's stance towards political figures.

MP Boçi demanded to know why, according to him, SPAK has "declared the prime minister untouchable", while "it has prosecuted the opposition leader".

In response to this question, Mr. Dumani emphasized that for SPAK "there is no untouchable".

"In every proceeding, the criminal fact is investigated and then the perpetrators of the criminal act are investigated. In all cases, prosecutors conduct the investigations. For us, names are not important, only evidence," said Dumani.

MP Boçi further asked whether Dumani had heard "Prime Minister Rama's ultimatum that SPAK prosecutors not approach political parties during the 2025 elections."

In response, the head of SPAK stated:

"SPAK has been involved with prosecutors and investigators on the ground. We have also been in the area that you have directed and you know very well how attentive we have been, including to the denunciations from your side. You have been contacted by investigators and have been invited to provide data, clues and a criminal report regarding the criminal fact that you had denounced in the media. We conducted the relevant verifications and it did not result in the situation that you presented in the public denunciation," Dumani explained.
