Belinda Balluku receives second summons from SPAK, will be escorted by force if
Minister Belinda Balluku

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, did not appear this Monday at the SPAK premises, where she was summoned to be informed of the official accusation against her. She published a video from Bucharest, where she was invited to a meeting on energy with her counterpart in Romania.

But after her absence, the prosecutor in the case, Dritan Prençi, has decided to repeat the official summons. Despite prior communication with Balluk's defense attorney, Prençi has chosen to follow the legal procedure, sending a new summons to the address of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy.

In this second summons, Balluku is notified to appear at the Special Prosecution Office within one of these days, accompanied by her defense attorney. The prosecutor reminds her that, if she does not appear voluntarily, measures will be taken to forcibly escort her to SPAK.

Officially, Belinda Balluku is under investigation for the charge of "Violation of equality in public tenders", and in the coming days this charge is expected to be formally communicated to her.

This development comes within the framework of investigations launched by SPAK into tender procedures in the institutions she has led, following the arrest of several of her former subordinates at the Ministry and the National Roads Authority. / Lapsi.al
