The oil workers of Gorrishti come out in protest: We will not work until they
Gorrisht, Vlora

Since the month of June, the oil workers of Gorrishti in Vlora have blocked work, while they demand the review of their salaries. They have gone out in protest and threaten not to return to work if their demands are not met. Otherwise, the enterprise will not open.

The oil workers have expressed that they are being pressured and fired without motivation, just because they are protesting. "We have been asking for salaries for almost a year, they promised us and still nothing", said the employees.

Even the specialists who have 40 years of work, the salary is 50 thousand ALL, while they are not paid for the night hours, nor for the difficulties and for the road.

The employees have turned off the decanting furnace and the well pumps, while they have stated that they will not work anymore until they take their demands seriously. 120 tons of oil per day are produced only by the wells of Gorrishti. Meanwhile, employees are the most discriminated against.
