The war between Syri.net and sacked editor-in-chief Leonard Quku, strong
Leonard Quku and Gazmir Spahija

Journalist Leonard Quku, dismissed just days ago from the post of editor-in-chief of the "Syri.net" has issued a series of strong accusations against administrator Gazmir Spahija, who he accuses of spying on him and other journalists.

Quku, who says he was dismissed without warning, without reason and in breach of contract, says he will pursue the matter to court.

He addressed 8 questions today to Spahia, revealing the "gestapo" methods he has exercised towards Quku and other journalists.

He says that within three minutes of the decision to download it, his work computer was seized, and this according to Quku was done with the aim of hiding the surveillance software that has been installed on every journalist's work computer in the newsroom.

"Who among the people of power gives you the guarantee of intangibleness when you violate the Labor Code with both feet? Which state institution beats their shoulders to discriminate against journalists, to despise them, to intimate them, to eavesddaliate them and to persecute them barbarically?" asks Quku among others.

Leonard Quku's full response:

Forced clarification 1/1:

Whenever Gazmir Spahia will cast an infantile lie against me among colleagues of Syri.net and Eye TV, as many times from me I will receive as a response to a truth.

Today I am addressing the Lord with 8 questions, to which I hope he will find courage and answer:

Why shouldn't other leaders and colleagues of Syri.net and Syri TV have to arbitrarily dismiss me from the duties of the Editor-in-Chief of Syri.net? You said to me in the office, "Don't talk to others that it won't be known, go away now." "No one will know that I'm taking you out of the job." Why?!

What was the reason for the unusual haste to order your IT loyalist, Alexander Lala, to seize my work computer within 3 minutes of our encounter in your office?

Have you and Alexander Lala misused my personal data and materials that were on the computer? And why, my materials don't go back to me to this day?

Was my computer seized to delete your surveillance programs that I had detected in time and not without intentionally harassed Alexander Lala with a bat when he appeared with his suitcase in the late afternoon: "Come on, there is material to collect today"?

Did you know that tapping journalists' phones, tapping whatsApp, and their computers with software recordings, burdens you with serious criminal liability? Is this a strategy of yours to coercion, blackmail and threaten journalists?

Why did you order my news account to be deleted with the full acces of the web panel administrator with such urgency while I was still an eye employee and at the same time de jure editor-in-chief on duty? And why did every memory have to be erased about my name in the Eye? The simplest temporary solution for you would be to change the passive through the webmaster in charge and later at a second, consequently, delete the user or make him 'hide'.

For what reasons was it taken out of function by Alexander Lala, my check in and check out card which is used at the door?

Who among the people of power gives you the guarantee of intangibleness when you violate the Code of Labor with both feet? What state institution beats their shoulders to discriminate against journalists, to despise them, to intimate, to eavesddape and to persecute them barbarically?

When all this is done to the editor-in-chief of the media and no explanation, no circumstances, imagine what has been done to journalists in the past and what is currently done to them. Hall makes you silent, of course. No one has anything safe - because you get thrown out on the street, you have nowhere to complain, there are no institutions, no actors who become your empowering voice. In Albania 2023 journalists are the most persecuted layer, with ridiculous salaries that are not declared or claimed only 1/3 of it, with insurance not paid, with long hours of work that are not paid again. But if these were not enough, they also throw you in the street and the leaders make the cube: "Go where you want and complain, go find the right one if you find it, we don't shave much.".
Is there any blacker than that?
And meanwhile we talk about Albania at the EU door, the "queen" of tourism, about orbiting satellites filming locusts and mosquitoes, to the global leader, to the personal troubles of Doctor Sali Berisha with the USA and Great Britain! Faik Konica no longer lives, but has left alive a lapidary phrase: "Ah Albania..."
