The businessman Ibrahim Lami has left the cell, after he was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison accused of tendering 24 million new lek for the rehabilitation of an irrigation channel in Lushnja.
For this affair, the former mayor of Lushnja, Fatos Tushe, who is still in the cell, was arrested, as well as some of his former subordinates in the municipality.
GJKKO decided to release the businessman because the time of detention is longer than the time of serving the sentence.
The municipal officials ended up in handcuffs at the request of SPAK after they had favored the businessman in question for receiving the tender for the irrigation canal worth 24 million new lek, as the businessman had intervened for Tushe's daughter to take the exam at the Faculty of Medicine.
