The fate of the kidnapping and disappearance of two people, Fatmir Sulovari and Leonard Theodhor alias "Koçole", in the village of Vrinë in Saranda, remains a mystery. The two friends disappeared on April 6, 2023, while the only person arrested for this event, Sofokli Baxheri, has been released by the Saranda court.
The decision to soften the security measure for Baxheri from "prison arrest" to "compulsion to appear" was taken a few days ago, leaving the case of the two missing persons in a mystery. A source near the police station of Saranda told "Ora News" that the investigation against Baxheri will take place in a free state for the charge of "Actions that prevent the disclosure of the truth".
The investigation has proven that Baxheri has a commercial activity in Saranda, which deals mainly with buying, renting and selling real estate. The 28-year-old is the man who found the rented house in the village of Nivicë in Himara, where the police later discovered the "Benz-Mercedez" car with which Fatmir Sulovari was kidnapped in Saranda.
Baxheri gave a contradictory testimony in front of the investigation group, stating that he had rented the house to a person who lived abroad, whose name he did not remember. The police and the prosecutor's office of Saranda are convinced that it was in this house that the members of the criminal group who committed the murder of two people, Fatmir Sulovari and Leonard Theodhor, and the placement of tritol in the apartment of the builder Afëz Kulla, stayed, this event happened on December 5, 2022 in Saranda.
For 4 months, the police and the prosecutor's office of Saranda still have not arrested a single person, while nothing is known about where the bodies of the young men were hidden after the execution. In some cases, the family members of the victims have protested in front of the police station of Saranda and the State Police in Tirana, taking the promise of clarifying the incident.
But until this stage, the investigation structures have not been able to do anything to identify and locate the perpetrators of the kidnapping and subsequent murder of Sulovar and Theodhor. The two victims and the perpetrators of the crime had previous knowledge of each other, since the two missing persons got into the vehicles where they were last seen in Saranda.
There are suspicions and indications that the bodies of Fatmir Sulovar and Leonard Theodhori were killed and then buried in the village of Vrina in Saranda. The conflict is related to the one-on-one clashes and the series of murders that started for the drug trade on the island of Corfu, and led to the murder of Aleksandër Sadikaj and Edmond Papa in Tirana./ Ora
