Robert Neçaj, is the young boy who survived the drowning of two citizens from Kosovo (brother and sister) on the beach of Shengjin, a few days ago.
"The event was very serious. The endangered boy had epileptic seizures in the water and the sister, who was nearby, showed moments of panic. Robert had to save them both. Of course, it is difficult to distinguish the symptoms and all the fluidity of the event. He gave the life jacket to the girl, the girl hit her on the head out of panic, but managed to get both of them out and to the shore", said Erdit Gega, president of the Albanian Federation "Beach Watchers".
He managed to bring them alive to the shore, but he himself suffered serious injuries. He has difficulty breathing due to lung injuries.
"A tragedy was avoided that probably would have taken the first place in the media if it had happened, but thanks to Mr. Robeti, he was in the right place," Gega continued.
Even though he just did his job, Erditi hoped that at least someone would be interested in Robert. He even attracts the attention of the media.
"There are rare cases when the vulnerable return and thank us for the intervention for the work we do. Developed countries feed the masses, the public with these professions. In Albania, unfortunately, we still do not have this culture, the media have not yet managed to turn the course, to educate the mass public, with the love for these professions, with the due respect", he said further.
