Members of a criminal group, the GJKKO Appeal gives the decision for the former

The appeal of GJKKO has approved the decision of SPAK, regarding Agustin Mesuli, Altin Deda, Florian Baku, Sokol Idrizajn, Vangjush Kashara, Tomorr Barut, Gentjan Aga, Adil Shehu and Elda Idrizajn .

Through a notice, the GJKKO Appeal informs:

- The assignment to the person under investigation, Gentjan Aga, of the security measure "House arrest" provided by article 237 of the Penal Code.

- The person under investigation, Gentjan Aga, is ordered not to leave his apartment located in {...}.

- It is ordered to release the person under investigation, Gentjan Aga, from the detention facilities if he is not kept in isolation for any other reason, and to send him to his residence as a result of the implementation of the "House Arrest" security measure.

- Assigning to the person under investigation A.Sh, the security measure "House arrest" provided by article 237 of the Criminal Code.

- The person under investigation A.Sh is ordered. not to leave his apartment located in {…}.

- It is ordered to release the person under investigation A.Sh. from the detention facilities if he is not kept in isolation for any other reason and sending him to the residence as a result of the implementation of the "House Arrest" security measure.

- Assigning to the person under VK investigation, the security measure "Compulsion to appear before the judicial police" provided by article 234 of the Penal Code.

- The person under VK investigation is ordered to appear on the first and third Monday of every month, at 11:00, before judicial police officers Roki Pepa or Arjan Hayati at the Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime.

- It is ordered to release the person under VK investigation from the detention facilities if he is not kept in isolation for any other reason.

- Assigning to the person under TB investigation, the security measure "Compulsion to appear before the judicial police" provided by article 234 of the Penal Code.

- The person under TB investigation is ordered to appear on the first and third Monday of every month, at 11:00, before judicial police officer Eljan Hoxha at the Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime.

- It is ordered that the person under TB investigation be released from the detention facilities if he is not kept in isolation for any other reason.

The Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime and the judicial police services are charged with the implementation of this decision.

What are these citizens suspected of?

These citizens are suspected of having transported stolen and valuable items from the French state to Albania, where they were sold secretly and smuggled through the jewelry store of the citizen Vangjush Kashari, who has the central store in Tirana.

In parallel, this operation was carried out in France, where two people suspected of being part of this group were arrested. Most of the suspects are members of a transport company while four of them have not yet been arrested and are being sought.

There are a number of charges of smuggling and trafficking of valuables and participation in a structured criminal group.

This group and the suspicions about it started in 2019 when the French authorities referred confidential information to the Albanian side that a group was raiding apartments and taking valuables, which were brought into the port of Durrës through a company, where it is suspected that police officers of the the state.
