The head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, in a meeting with students of the "Luigj Gurakuqi" university organized by the Helsinki Committee, stated that power is not important and that everyone will have to give an account to SPAK when the time comes.
Asked about whether or not to question Prime Minister Edi Rama on the "McGonigal" case, Dumani said that the names are not important, but the evidence.
Question: Will Rama be called in for questioning about the McGonigal case?
"I cannot answer certain questions. It doesn't matter the name, but the evidence and the power it has doesn't matter, and at some point it will be necessary for anyone to come and give an account to SPAK or the court.
We are sensitive to what happens in the media or anywhere else. Many media in February of last year and until 2-3 months ago we received criticism why we did not register the McGonigal case and all the critics should feel disappointed that we registered it in January 2022. We have to wait for the moment when to have something concrete to publish", said Dumani.
Question: At what stage of the investigation is Meta?
Dumani: The matter is under investigation and I cannot provide information.
