Arjana Caco, one of the judges who was part of the judging panel in the January 21 process, was finally dismissed from the justice system.

The Special Appeal Panel decided today to uphold the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission of October 7, 2022

The panel of judges of the Special Appellate Board, composed of Ina Rama chairperson, Mimoza Tasi relator, Albana Shtylla, Rezarta Schuetz, Sokol Çomo member, announced the decision on case no. 2/2023, dated 12.01.2023, relating to the appeal of the subject of revaluation Arjana Gumbardhi (Caco) against the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission no. 570, dated 07.10.2022.

At the end of the trial, the court, based on article 66, point 1, letter "a" of law no. 84/2016, "On the transitional reassessment of judges and prosecutors in the Republic of Albania", unanimously decided:

Enacting the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission no. 570, dated 07.10.2022, which belongs to the subject of revaluation, Mrs. Arjana Gumbardhi (Caco).

2. This decision is final and has immediate effect.

It was announced in Tirana, on 24.01.2024.
