The head of Altin Duman , from Shkodra , declared that SPAK has the capacity to deal with structured criminal groups and has shown that it is able to deal with criminal groups that are also related to politics.
Breaking the myth of impunity, according to the head of SPAK, is tiring, but not impossible.
"We have the capacity to face structured criminal groups. We also have evidence. We are trying to break the myth of impunity. It is tiring and difficult, but we are doing it regardless of the name or the power the individual has had. At SPAK, we have changed the philosophy of searching for proof with special methods," said Dumani.
Focusing on the fight against corruption, Dumani said that we used the income from confiscated assets and invested in technology.
"We have used the proceeds from the confiscated assets and invested in technology. To be successful in the fight against corruption, it seems good legislation and specialized structures and these structures must have independence. We have total independence guaranteed by the constitution. No we have dependent relationships with other powers. But everything depends on the integrity of each prosecutor and court, you can be independent but choose to flirt with the power"
The head of SPAK, Altin Dumani was in Shkodra today in a meeting at the University of Shkodra with students.
The meeting comes within a project of the Albanian Helsinki Committee on the fight against corruption.
