I am very happy when Christian scores goals with the club as he does, but when he scores for the Albanian national team I am much happier.

There is no doubt that the coach of Atalanta, Gasperini, has helped a lot in the growth of captain Gjimshiti. I would go so far as to say his case is for the record if you look at the athletic growth he has had. When I think about his level 5 or 6 seasons ago, I can say that he has improved a lot and that he has gained a lot of maturity. However, on the human side, he is still a boy (laughs), he has always been the same wonderful man. I am also very happy for Atalanta, they are having a great season in the championship and in Europe, with Gjimshit being one of the undisputed leaders of the Bergamo team.

What do you recommend to Asllan? He played a good game against Verona and admitted that sometimes the criticism he reads weighs heavily on him too...

Kristjan is a great footballer and an intelligent boy. Even though he is only 22 years old, if you talk to him, you feel like you are talking to an adult. If a year ago I thought he could look for another club where he would get more minutes, now I think differently. Now I am convinced that he should continue to play at Inter, it is his moment. He is mature enough to be a starter for the Milan team. I am sure that coach Inzaghi will give him this opportunity.

Which Albanian boys will grow the most in the coming years?

We have some very promising youngsters in the national youth teams and I am very confident that we will see them at a high level. In the U-17 national team are the goalkeeper of Juventus, Rafaele Huli, the striker Gabriele Kulla of Sassuolo as well as the other striker of Juventus, Arman Durmishi, to give some examples. The talented goalkeeper of Inter, Alain Taho, strikers Flavio Sulejmani of Lazio, Tedi Arifi of Teuta and Xheto Joi Nuredini of Genoa promise a lot in the U-19 national team.
