Spanish media have released new details about Alfred Prodan. The director of the water supply in Kurbin was arrested a few days ago by the Albanian police with the accusation that he stole several villas in Spain, and one of them was the villa of the football player Karim Benzema, the captain of Real Madrid.
The French striker fell victim to the attack on February 27, 2019, while playing an El Clasico against Barcelona at the "Santiago Bernabeu", a valid challenge for the semifinals of the King's Cup.
Benzema was notified shortly after the match that a violent robbery had taken place at his home. Authorities claim that Prodani, who held the position of director of water supply in Kurbin, is behind this event.
"He steals Benzema's house and they appoint him director. "If he manages to rob Leo Messi, they will immediately make him a minister", commented ironically Kreshnik Spahiu.
"The senior official of the Albanian government is arrested for the robbery of Benzema's house", writes the Iberian AS, while reporting that Prodani is accused of having violently robbed over 40 other houses on Spanish soil since 2013.

The 41-year-old was arrested in the city of Laç by the police in an operation coordinated by Interpol after an investigation by a Spanish court and is now expected to be extradited to Spain, according to the agreement reached some time ago by Prime Ministers Edi Rama and Pedro Sanchez.
Prodan will be extradited to Spain to stand trial along with the rest of his suspected accomplices. Among them is a well-known Albanian businessman whose name is not known at the moment. The local press only details that he is 37 years old and has several important companies.
