Luka Modric will continue to play for the Croatian national team even at the age of 41.
The Croatian Football Federation has confirmed that the Milan midfielder will be part of the squad for the 2026-27 season. Modric, who turns 41 next week, has confirmed that he is available for the entire upcoming Nations League campaign, provided he is in good physical condition.
The federation has announced that he will be included in the list for the September and October squad, while the full list will be published on Monday.
There were reports over the summer that Modric could call time on his career with Croatia after a disappointing season with Milan and Croatia's elimination from the World Cup by Portugal in the round of 32. However, the player has decided to continue playing for the national team.
Modric currently has 202 caps for Croatia and is the third most capped player in the history of the national team, behind Cristiano Ronaldo (233) and Lionel Messi (207).
