The girls' Vllaznia has withdrawn from the Albanian championship, which will start on September 19.

The president of the girls' team, Lazër Matija, says he will resign because "I saw a wrong strategy, girls' football in Shkodra has been persecuted, they have taken female footballers to the national team and left them on the bench. I have had debates about refereeing in girls' football, they wanted to take away our championship, but they did not succeed thanks to work and sacrifice."

According to Matija, the Albanian Football Association 'is fed up with Vllaznia, as it has dominated for many years' and is looking to make a comeback with girls' football.
