Spain's triumph in the 2026 World Cup brought them not only sporting glory, but also a record financial profit.
According to AS, the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) will receive $50 million ( around €44 million ) as a reward from FIFA for winning the World Cup, the highest figure ever awarded to the champion team.
This is a significant increase compared to the $42 million that Argentina earned after being declared world champions in 2022.
The benefits don't stop at just the FIFA prize money. Success at the World Cup has also significantly increased the commercial value of the Spanish national team, strengthening relationships with sponsors and attracting even greater interest from international partners.
According to the agreement between the players and the Federation, 45% of the bonus earned by FIFA will be distributed to the team's 26 players.
This means that each of them will benefit from around 756 thousand euros gross, not counting income from personal sponsors or club bonuses.
Overall, the World Cup triumph is expected to have a much greater economic impact than just the sporting reward, as Spain's success significantly increases the brand value of the national team and Spanish football in the global market.
