Raiffeisen Bank has reacted to the serious incident of the previous day, where many customers had their money taken from their accounts. Through an announcement distributed on social networks, Raiffeisen declares that the situation has been fully resolved.

"During today, some of our customers temporarily experienced changes in their account balances related to certain card transactions. The situation has been fully addressed and the account balances reflect the correct status," Raiffeisen announced.

The bank has denied falling victim to any cyberattack, but does not explain why hundreds of customers' accounts were changed.

"We also wish to clarify that no unauthorized access to the bank's systems has been identified, no customer data has been compromised, and no cybersecurity incident has been identified," Raiffeisen adds.

However, this announcement does not clarify what caused what happened to the clients' money. While Raiffeisen has given its version, it is now up to the Bank of Albania and the Cybersecurity Authority to clarify the causes of the incident and verify whether there was a security breach.

It is not known whether the BoA has launched an inspection at Raiffeisen, but Kapitali has learned that the situation the day before at the bank with Austrian capital was very serious. Most of the bank's staff were called to work, even though it was Sunday, to engage in a PR campaign to calm the public./ kapitali.al
