Democratic Party MP Klevis Balliu has called on SPAK to investigate the AKSHI affair in depth, demanding verification of how public funds were used and whether they were transferred outside Albania.

In a statement to the media, Balliu focused on the activities of Ermal Beqiri and the company "Al Soft", for which he said there are several elements that, according to him, should be investigated.

He stated that the company "Al Soft" was registered in Albania in 2010 and that same year entered into liquidation proceedings. According to Balliu, companies with the same name were subsequently registered in France, Belgium and Cyprus.

"It turns out that in the city of Nîmes, France, a company with the same name, AL Soft, has been registered, where Al Soft's activity in Albania is also presented as a success story. Entities with the same name are also registered in Belgium and Cyprus," said Balliu.

The Democratic MP demanded that SPAK not only investigate the contracts signed with AKSHI, but also the source of the money with which these companies' activities abroad were created.

According to him, financial movements, company ownership should be verified and, if there are suspicions of violations, the cooperation of authorities in France, Belgium and Cyprus should be sought.

Balliu added that citizens expect justice to shed light on this issue and establish responsibility for any possible case of abuse of public funds.

"There can be no silence about large-scale theft. Whoever has abused public funds must be held accountable before the law," Balliu said.
