The hearing on the "Babale" file has been postponed in the Court of Appeal.

The next session will be held on November 9, at 2:00 p.m.

Deputy Ervin Salianji was accompanied today in front of the Court by his colleagues from the Democratic Party, Luciano Boçi, Luan Baçi, Agron Gjekmarkaj, Gazment Bardhi, Saimir Korreshi, Arbi Agalliu and others.

Today, it was expected that the decision on the "Babale" file would be given at the Court of Appeal in Tirana.

Ervin Salianji was found guilty of the criminal offense of "false report" in relation to the "Babale" case.

The case in question was taken to Appeal by the journalist Jetmir Olldashi, who was sentenced to 6 months in prison, which was converted into 100 hours of community service.

If the Appeal will confirm the decision of the First Instance, then deputy Salianji risks prison. Salianji and journalist Jetmir Olldashi were found guilty under the charge of 'false report' related to the staging of the audio-interception in order to involve the brother of the former Minister of the Interior Fatmir Xhafaj in drug trafficking. The Criminal Court imposed 1 year imprisonment for the democratic deputy on the charge of false report made in cooperation.
