Prime Minister Edi Rama has released the data of the United Nations report on the Digital Development of member countries, where Albania ranks 8th in Europe and 19th in the world for Online Public Services.
According to the head of the Government, these data show the great and massively denied truth, that the Albania of counters with bars, crowds in lines to get a piece of paper, and tips for every service at the counter belongs to the past.
Rama says that anyone who talks disparagingly about Iran's cyber attack on Albania forgets 2 facts. According to him, we were attacked because we developed and the attack failed because we invested.
Full reaction:
These tables are taken from the United Nations Digital Development Report of member countries. Albania is ranked 8th in Europe and 19th in the world for Online Public Services, a very good news to be conveyed by the channels and portals that blacken every day from the mud of half-truths, lies, accusations, insults all sorts of banalities
But more important still, a news about the great and massively denied truth, that the Albania of counters with bars, of crowds in lines to get a piece of paper, of tips for every service at the counter belongs to the past.
There is still a lot to fight corruption and strengthen the administration, but for 1225 public services (95% of all services) our country has eradicated corruption, climbing to positions that until a few years ago could not even be imagined, from the bottom of the well where we started the path of the Digital Revolution
*Many people talk disparagingly about the cyber attack on Albania, forgetting two simple facts, the first is that we have been attacked precisely because we have developed (if we were still with counters in the rain and the sun, they wouldn't be able to attack us) and the second, that the attack has failed precisely because we have invested properly, doing a lot with less, and being ranked among the most developed countries for online public services
