Teachers will boycott the teaching process tomorrow/ Minister Kushi's message for the beginning of the new academic year: Even Albania is suffering the consequences of a world crisis! Two words for you colleagues...

The next day the new academic year starts and the lecturers have warned of a boycott of the teaching process, as a congratulatory message has recently arrived from the Minister of Education Evis Kushi for the students, while she also says "two words" for her colleagues.

In her congratulations, Kushi has listed recent achievements in Education such as scholarships worth the minimum wage or exemption from the annual fee for excellent students, as she emphasizes that Albania is also suffering the consequences of a world crisis, but she emphasizes that the government has taken measures to help Albanian families.

Kushi also has a message for the lecturers, as he has not responded to their requests, but says that they will work to increase cooperation between the parties.

Minister Khushi's message:

Dear students and teachers,

I want to start with a very heartfelt wish for a successful academic year for all of you!

Especially you who sit for the first time in the university auditoriums, I congratulate you that after the successful completion of high school, you have chosen to take further steps in the journey towards knowledge, a journey as long as life itself.

This new academic year coincides with a difficult situation, when the whole world, including Albania, is suffering the consequences of a crisis caused by the war in Ukraine. The Albanian government has undertaken a series of measures to support every family, including yours, to mitigate the effects of the price crisis as much as possible. But our support for you doesn't stop there.

This year we have offered an exemption from fees and monthly scholarships worth as much as the minimum wage for students who choose priority programs, those who have excellent results, as well as students who have won international Olympiads.

Ndërkohë, po vazhdojmë pa u ndalur punën dhe investimet për përmirësimin e kushteve të akomodimit në rezidencat studentore, si në kryeqytet ashtu edhe në qytete të tjera universitare. Kemi forcuar bashkëpunimin edhe me bashkitë, vetë universitetet dhe donatorë të ndryshëm, që infrastruktura universitare kudo në Shqipëri të ofrojë standardet më të mira bashkëkohore.

Dua t’ju falënderoj me zemër që keni vendosur të studioni në Shqipëri, duke i besuar ndër të tjera edhe procesit të ndërkombëtarizimit të universiteteve. Ky proces do t’i japë edhe më shumë cilësi dhe vlerë diplomës suaj, duke u afruar më shumë me universitetet më prestigjoze evropiane e botërore.

We will continue to work as much as possible so that you have new quality study alternatives here, in order that after your studies you can integrate into the labor market as soon as possible and contribute as much as possible to our beloved Albania.

We need you! The country needs you very much!

Two words for you, dear fellow teachers.

I want to express my utmost respect and gratitude for your work and dedication to the formation of future professionals. And at the beginning of this academic year, I am confident that we will further increase our efforts and cooperation to do the best for our students, but also to increase performance in all academic and university aspects, in function of the development of country. Our support for you will continue unabated.
