"The Jerusalem Post" media has devoted an article to Prime Minister Edi Rama's visit to Israel.
According to The Jerusalem Post , Rama arrived in Israel on Sunday to strengthen his country's cyber defenses after a series of attacks by Iran that led his country to cut ties with Tehran.
"During his visit to Israel, Rama plans to meet with the head of the National Directorate of Cybernetics and leading Israeli companies in this field, as well as with Prime Minister Yair Lapid, President Isaac Herzog, Knesset Speaker Mickey Levy and opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu. The Iranian cyber attack on Albania earlier this year threatened to paralyze public services and digital systems, hack state data and sow further chaos. The hackers published the personal data of the members of the Albanian government", writes the media in question.
Israeli-Kazakh businessman Alexander Machkevitch, who heads one of the world's largest mining and raw materials companies, Euroasian Resources Group, was involved in coordinating Rama's visit to the Jewish state.
As for Albania-Israel relations, the media in question emphasizes that Albania is a Muslim-majority country that has had relations with Israel since 1991.
Also mentioned is the fact that our country sheltered Jews during World War II, and that Albania became part of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance on anti-Semitism in 2020.
