The General Secretary of the SP, Damian Gjiknuri and the head of the PR, Fatmir Mediu, as representatives of the Assembly of Albania, have participated in the meeting of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Istanbul on the topic "Strengthening connectivity to guarantee Energy and food security in times of crisis".

Mediu has presented two amendments which were unanimously approved with the exception of Belarus.

The first amendment required: The adoption of laws that guarantee a screening process of investments so as not to compromise security as has happened with Chinese and Russian investments.

The second amendment required the respect of human rights and freedoms by not allowing the inclusion in the market of products that benefit from forced, slave labor, as is the case with the Uighurs.

During the meeting, Gjiknuri presented Albania's investments and policies for energy and its diversification. They emphasized the need for interconnection with gas producing countries such as Azerbaijan through TAP and TANAP.

Albania takes a special weight through TAP and the connection with IAP (Ionian Pipe line).
