Jola Hysaj was appointed the new head of the National Tourism Agency (AKT) two days ago.

Hysaj, who previously held the position of Secretary for Public Relations at the Democratic Party.

The former DP secretary resigned from this position in March 2026. She replaces Zana Çela, who had been heading the National Tourism Agency since February 9, 2023.

Hysaj's appointment is expected to spark debate on the political scene, as it comes after her previous engagement with the Democratic Party.

Perhaps this move can be seen as another attempt by Prime Minister Edi Rama to bring figures who previously held positions in the opposition closer to the administration./ Piranjat
