The Spanish government has issued new rules stating that tourists from the UK must prove they have enough money to enjoy their stay in Spain.
Britons must also provide proof of accommodation and proof of a return flight or ticket.
After being informed of the decision that they must prove they can spend £85 a day when traveling to Spain in the summer, Britons have reacted with "fury" on social media.
The move has been met with backlash from travel agencies, with many arguing that the UK contributes enormously to the Spanish tourism sector.
Social media users also criticized the harsh policies.
One person wrote: "Let's see where they take their tourism now if people choose other countries.. good luck Spain!"
Another raised the question: “Is this even viable? To check if you have at least £600 to spend, they will need to check your bank balance.
