Neither the Ministry of Science and Education, nor the Educational Inspectorate nor the Education Agency have received any complaints or requests from parents regarding the Classical Gymnasium in Zagreb during this school year. But the Croatian media have published evidence that the wife of the President of the Republic of Croatia, Sanja Musić Milanović, influenced the high school teachers to change 2 grades for her son, Marko, from 4 to 5.
It is alleged that on June 24, Sanja Music Milanovic sent an email to her son's school principal, class teacher and school psychologist, in which she warns of irregularities in math lessons. This caused a wave of reactions.
Article 73 of the law on education in primary and secondary schools provides that on the basis of monitoring and evaluation during the academic year, the final grade for the subject is determined by the subject teacher and not only by exams. That's why the request of the first lady of Koracija started.
Regarding the possibility of changing the final grade, Article 76 of the law states that a student or parent who is not satisfied with the final grade in a certain subject has the right to submit a request to the teachers' council within two days from the end date academic year to give an exam to the committee, which is carried out within two days from the date of submission of the request.
Regarding the published scandal, the wife of the president has not made any reaction. Sanja Milanović has been contacted all the time by the media, but has refused to give any statement.
