"Like Hitler, it will end in suicide", the story of Putin's
Vladimir Putin

The elderly Ukrainian woman on the park bench mourning the death and criminal destruction around her could have been Vladimir Putin's mother in Leningrad.

This happened when the Nazis in World War II besieged, bombed and killed Leningrad, as the Russians are doing today in Mariupol and other Ukrainian cities.

By the time the Nazi siege ended, some 800,000 innocent men, women, and children had been killed by Hitler's bombs or had died of starvation and disease. Leningrad was a ruin.

One of the dead was Viktor Putin, Vladimir Putin's 2-year-old brother, whom he never met. (Vladimir Putin was born in 1952.)

Putin's mother, Maria Ivanova Putin, who nearly died of starvation, had taken the boy to a child shelter for safety. Putin's father, Vladimir Spiridonovich Putin, was in a military hospital recovering from injuries sustained during fighting with the Nazis.

Victor contracted diphtheria at the shelter and died in his mother's arms, like many other Leningrad children.

To this day, Putin does not know where his brother is buried. Hitler's crime made mass graves common in Leningrad, as Putin is doing in Ukraine.

No one knows what Maria Ivanova Putin did or said after Viktor's death, or what other mothers said about Hitler, the man who caused the deaths of so many of their children in Leningrad and elsewhere.

But you can imagine it was like that woman with the look of a grandmother crying on a park bench told CNN as she saw the dead bodies of innocent women and children killed by Putin's bombs in Sloviansk in Ukraine's Donbas region.

She told journalist Clarissa Ward, "Why can't they stop this idiot? "If they send me, I will shoot him."

What people were saying about Hitler at the time is what they are saying today about Putin. Putin has become Hitler. He is doing to Ukraine - by killing innocent women and children - what the Nazis did to the Russians in Leningrad.

"Of course, they were protecting their home, their children, their loved ones and their families. However, what they shared was the love for their homeland, their homeland.

"That deep, intimate feeling is fully reflected in the core of our nation and became one of the decisive factors in its heroic war, sacrifice against the Nazis."

Replacing the "Russians" with the "Nazis" and Zelensky can deliver that speech to the Ukrainian people. Maybe he will deliver that speech.
