It is good news that is circulating that tomorrow, Thursday, the Albanian Parliament will convene in session. But, in my humble opinion as a citizen, it should be an extraordinary session, not with a mediocre agenda, or with debates that in fact, as has been the case for years, hide and hinder the real debate.
Playing with a house book is not good for any citizen. Enough with this game that has brought us to where we are!
An extraordinary session may last 12 hours, or 24 hours, but the nation, the citizens, society, students, youth, all layers of society are demanding a solution from the Assembly. I even wanted to say that tomorrow they are demanding it exclusively from the Assembly, the President, not from the Head of the executive hired by them!
MPs cannot continue to hide, as the vast majority of them have done these days, staying at home, or taking refuge in the tick-tock of digital reality, on the air, or on cable, making some fleeting statement just to wash their mouths.
A political solution to the crisis is required. In my opinion, they have about six or seven solution models that they should examine one by one and leave the room with the solution model before the Albanian people and the world that is watching us as we eat each other with our teeth!
We also eat Albania!
This is the duty of Niko Peles and the presidency of the Assembly, not to make tearful moral sermons without any value, of the heads of parliamentary groups, of every committee chair and then of every MP.
If they did not orient themselves where the nation requires, they will bear the heavy personal and collective guilt of failing to fulfill their duty, if I must put it mildly, because in fact, in legal terms, it will have a different name.
Tomorrow we will see: Will the country emerge victorious, especially those responsible MPs from all sides, who do not have such a direct burden to hold them responsible for the serious crisis that Albanian civilization is going through today, or will they let it slide into the abyss like a cut oak tree that slides into deep holes, breaking into dozens of branches, trunks, and leaves that the wind takes away!!!
They have all the solutions on the table!
According to the constitution, no matter how desecrated it is, no matter how deficient it is, no matter how much it has deprived the nation of the solution to political and social crises like the one we are experiencing.
But, this requires that:
1- MPs should not behave as a political parliamentary group at the behest of parties. This is not what the constitution requires and obliges, but as persons vested with power who have personal responsibility for what they do and say.
2- It is imperative that MPs, without exception, individually express themselves by voice or vote on all the solutions that the constitution puts on the table and awaits them!
3- The entire session should be broadcast minute by minute on all television channels.
4- The party division of the deputies and by the deputies should not be seen, but they should enter into cross-party negotiations to seek the creation of majorities, even temporary ones, to provide a solution to the crisis with a concrete and clear political proposal, to convince the citizen that the nation has the power to move forward on a good and peaceful path.
The logic of party parliamentary discipline is unconstitutional and does not save any MP from personal responsibility! Not even statements save them, but behavior, efforts, votes in the Assembly, are what measure and make the difference!
5- No one washes their mouths with solutions that are not foreseen in the Constitution or with a word of mouth as a magic formula, no matter how radical it may seem, anyone who behaves in this way blocks the solution. The country needs constitutional political solutions to ensure the normal functioning of the state, of democracy, of the realization of the will of the citizens, of the solution to the crisis that the current government does not seem to be able to manage and does not seem to have any awareness of the deep hole we have dangerously sunk into, nor can it be resolved by violence.
No fleeting solutions are accepted just to wash their mouths and be liked by the public in the squares or in the apartments near the screens, so that when you hear them you say: Do these people really think? Are they responsible for what they say?
Deputies, your task on Thursday is not to not gather, nor to pretend to argue, nor to implement party discipline like robots, using it as a sheet to cover your face flushed with blame and shame, but to provide solutions!
Keep in mind that before the nation and history, in the end, everyone appears alone, as before God, and then no one can justify themselves with "party discipline" as a criminal and unconstitutional mechanism!
The citizens have lost faith in you! It is up to you not to miss the last chance that history gives you, not only for you personally, but for the Albania to which we all owe it!
