Ciriaco De Mita
Former Italian Prime Minister Ciriaco De Mita has died at the age of 94. The mayor of Nusco died this morning, at 7 o'clock in the nursing home Villa dei Pini in Avellino, writes La Republica.
De Mita was first elected to the House of Representatives in 1963, he was one of the greatest leaders of the post-war period.
In February he underwent surgery for a femoral fracture following a fall at home.
Ciriaco De Mita was the symbol of the First Republic.
