"Ukraine must cede territory to Russia," Zelensky said of Kissinger
Ukrainian President, Volodymr Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has reacted sharply to a statement by former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, who suggested that peace talks should aim to establish borders along the "line of contact" in the Donbas as it existed on the eve of Russian occupation.

Kissinger delivered this message via a skype link on the Davos Forum.

In a video message Wednesday, Zelensky said: "Regardless of what the Russian state does, there is someone who says, 'Let' s consider his interests."

This year in Davos was heard again. Despite the thousands of Russian missiles that hit Ukraine. Despite the tens of thousands of Ukrainians killed. Despite Bucha and Mariupol, etc. Despite the destroyed cities. And despite the "filter camps" set up by the Russians, the state in which they kill, torture, rape and humiliate is like a conveyor belt.

"Russia has done all this in Europe. However, in Davos, for example, Mr. Kissinger comes out of the deep past and says that part of Ukraine should be given to Russia.
