The chairman of the Social Democratic Party, Dardan Molliqaj, was arrested by the Kosovo Police.

Molliqaj, together with some of the members of the Social Democratic Party, were part of the protest of the Veterans of the Kosovo Liberation Army.

During the protest, he criticized the executive for placing the police in front of the building of the Government of Kosovo.

"It's a provocation for the police to decide. Removing the fences and then placing the police is a provocation. I did not see that anyone was attacked, the Kurti government has removed the fences, please find the public reasoning where it says that we have removed the fences to be accessible to the citizen. Veterans are citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, deserving citizens of the republic and freedom, why are you calming down the Police? Why are you removing the fences, let the fences ", declared Molliqaj who is also the husband of the former Minister of Education in Albania, Besa Shahini.

As for Molliqaj, the protest is a reaction to the injustice done to veterans by the Assembly and the Government.

The day before, the Basic Court in Prishtina issued an arrest warrant against Molliqaj, as he is being accused of physically assaulting Haki Abazi.
