The leaders of three important European countries, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, French President Emmanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi, have left for Kiev this morning.

The three European leaders boarded a special train in Poland and are expected to arrive this morning in Kiev, Ukraine, according to the German network ZDF and the Italian newspaper La Repubblica, which published a photo of them inside the train.

Scholz, Macron and Draghi have been criticized by Ukrainian officials for what Ukraine perceives as a lenient approach to Russia.

A day earlier, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and Montenegrin Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic visited Kiev, where they met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Important statements regarding the situation are expected today.
