The murder of 5-year-old Elena by her mother shocked Italy. But the event is still shrouded in mystery. Martina Pattim, 23, said she was stabbed at the place where she was found buried. The carabinieri will launch investigations into the apartment.

Where the young mother killed her daughter, a crime she herself admitted, remains a mystery. As well as any participation in crime or concealment of the body by third parties.

This was reported shortly before by Salvatore Mancuso, commander of the First Section of the Catania Carabinieri investigative unit, who held a press conference near the murder scene (a thorny field in the Mescalucia locality, not far from the woman's house).

"The place where the crime was committed and the possible involvement of other people in committing the crime or hiding the body are still under investigation," he said.

"There are many question points. Did anyone help the new mother? How did Martina Patti manage to bring Elena's body to that field? "Is it possible that no one noticed?"

Meanwhile, in the following days, technical and scientific investigations will be carried out inside the apartment of Del Pozzo, which has been subjected to sequestration.

No trace of blood has been found in the apartment so far. " We are conducting all the necessary investigations into this ," said Commander Mancuso. A heart-shaped pillow with the design of a doll was found on the crime scene accompanied by a note: I do not know why your mother decided to do this to you. i too am a mother and i love my daughter more than anything in the world. Do not think that he did not love you because to leave with this memory is terrible. "
