Deadly collision of American Airlines plane with military helicopter, two

Two employees who managed Washington National Airport have been arrested on suspicion of releasing security camera footage after last week's deadly plane crash.

According to the New York Post, two employees of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) are accused of unauthorized copying of registration files and could also be prosecuted for illegal access to electronic systems.

The two men, 21-year-old Mohamed Lamine Mbengue and 45-year-old Jonathan Savoy, were released after charges were filed against them.

The two men's legal troubles are linked to video obtained by CNN last week, which showed the shocking moment a Black Hawk military helicopter and an American Airlines passenger plane collided over the Potomac River.

The tragic incident caused the plane and helicopter to crash, and the deaths of 67 people on board.

Videos released by American media immediately after the crash made the rounds on the internet, raising many questions about how the two planes collided in the busy airspace above Ronald Reagan Airport.

CNN said both videos it released after the tragedy were taken on cell phones.
