Part of Vucic's opposition media in Serbia speak of a tense conversation between NATO generals and the Serbian army on Sunday evening, following Kosovo's decision to implement reciprocity on the part of the Albin Kurt government.
According to them, NATO has threatened Serbia openly by making it clear that any attempt to intervene militarily in Kosovo by escalating the situation even more will face the Strong Response of the Atlantic Alliance.
The same sources write that at this stage of the conflict in Ukraine, where Kiev has undertaken a counteroffensive against Russia in the south of the country, the West and NATO do not tolerate any sparks in other regions of Europe, much more so in the Balkans and furthermore from Serbia surrounded by Alliance member states.
"If you think of sending the army to Kosovo, or even at its border as in the past (referred to the events of September 2021, when Serbia approached tanks, aircraft and helicopters bordering Kosovo) we will bomb them", the Alliance's confidential but clear warning is quoted by Serbian media.
These articles have also been referred to Serbian politician Nikol Sandulovic, who accuses Alexander Vucic of using Kosovo and inciting tensions in the region to maintain its power. According to Sandulovic, the Serbian President is the main instigator of tensions with Kosovo, Bosnia and Croatia, and through these tensions is trying to sell himself as the only politician who can guarantee peace and stability in the region, in exchange for the West's support for it.
