Metin Karadayi, who works in a market in Bolu, Turkey, has returned 212 thousand liras (about 11,566 euros) that were wrongly paid to his bank account, AA reports.

Karadayi, who has been working in the market for seven years, noticed that 212 thousand liras had been deposited in his bank account.

As he did not expect any payment in that amount, he decided to contact the bank and the money was returned to the owner.

In a statement to AA, Karadayi said that he does not want other people's money, but he is satisfied with what he earns when he trades, no matter how much it is.

"We don't want to bear the burden of that money. We need halal money, not haram. So, if I took that money, I would certainly lose it. My conscience is clear because I returned that money," Karadayi said.
