Montenegro's Prime Minister, Dritan Abazovic, is said to have escaped a car accident after his car malfunctioned.

The event occurred on July 31 in Obzovic and has set authorities in motion to investigate the causes and to clarify the brake defect of Abazovic's car.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs in Podgorica says that the investigation so far has been revealed that it is a technical problem of the vehicle due to the age and the many kilometers.

Filip Adzic, who is part of Abazovic's party and also the Interior Minister in Montenegro, immediately conducted a security oversight when the incident occurred.

Abazovic was on a visit to Tivat when the car he was travelling in suffered a brake defect and was forced to open his arm on the motorway. He continued the journey in another car.
