"I came for honest work, but I fell into debt", imprisoned Albanian
Arrested in Britain

A young Albanian man has been jailed in the UK after being caught in a house where cannabis was cultivated.

The 21-year-old Albanian, Vranakant Mehilli, was arrested on 26 June, when British police carried out an action on Doncaster Street, Rotherham.

In court, he pleaded guilty but said he had gone to England for fair work, but had been in debt, which forced him to work as a cannabis farmer.

The judge said it was clear that the house where the cannabis was cultivated was for commercial production and decided to sentence the Albanian to two years in prison.
