Britain on alert, meteorologists warn of powerful and "devastating"

Britain is expected to be hit by a storm, bringing heavy rain and strong winds. Forecasters fear winds could top 60 mph in the worst-hit areas, bringing power outages.

According to the Met Office, Storm Antony will be "potentially devastating" as it moves from west to east and some roads and bridges are likely to be closed.

Antony is the second storm to hit the UK in five days.
