Latvian army towards border with Belarus


Latvia has sent a large number of soldiers and heavy combat vehicles, announcing it has closed its border at two points with Belarus.

The decision comes just days after Russian mercenaries from the "Warener" group settled in Belarus where they have begun building a military camp.

In the Latvian city of Ludza, numerous military forces have been seen crossing. According to local authorities, a military exercise will be held on the border with Belarus.

Similar measures were taken by Poland and Lithuania.
