Alexei Navalny
One of Russia's strongest opposition voices and critic of the invasion of Ukraine, Alexei Navalny has been sentenced to 19 years in prison by a Russian court.
Navalny, who is currently serving a nine-year prison sentence for fraud, was charged in June with creating and financing an extremist group, an organization that violated human rights.
Navalny was arrested in 2021 and jailed on fraud charges. He has strongly criticized the regime in Russia as well as the "pointless" war in Ukraine.
Navalny also revealed information about a number of senior officials and politicians in the Kremlin.
