Former U.S. Ambassador to the Un Nikki Haley hinted she would become a candidate for the 2024 U.S. presidential election, during a speech she gave with the Jewish community in Washington.

"If this president signs any kind of Iran nuclear deal, I will make you a promise: the next president will tear it apart on her first day in office. Just saying, sometimes you need a woman," she told the cheering crowd.

If she were to race, she must first secure the confidence of the Republican Party. Donald Trump is expected to follow that path. Both could face off in the in-party race to win the 2024 run.

"If it looks like Iran is getting to a nuclear weapon, we have to act and we have to act swiftly and decisively," Haley said. "Our national security depends on keeping the bomb away from Iran, and if America doesn't, then Israel must and we must help them. At the least, we must give Israel everything it needs to protect itself and destroy Iran's nuclear program."

Haley criticized U.S. President Joe Biden's administration for efforts to negotiate with Iran and reach a compromise with the regime for its nuclear program.

"Because of America's weakness, Iran is in the strongest position it's ever been. Everyone knows what Iran wants. He wants nuclear weapons, wants ballistic missiles to carry those nuclear weapons and wants to use those missiles and nuclear weapons to destroy Israel and America," Haley said.
