Many residents of a town in Australia have witnessed a mysterious pink light that lit up the night sky. "Has the end of the world come?", was the question that they raised as soon as they saw the light.

One woman told the BBC that at the time she was keeping calm, telling her children that nothing was happening, but deep down she was scared and constantly asking what was going on
, “What is this? The end of the world, an alien invasion or an asteroid?'' were the initial guesses, says Ms Tammy Szumovski from Mildura in Victoria's north.

He also adds that during the time when the phenomenon happened, as strange as it is mysterious, he was on a phone call with his parents who told him that they were having dinner.

"Dad said it's good to finish eating since the world is coming to an end, while mom replied: What's the point of finishing eating when the world is coming to an end," explains Szumovski.
