The residents of Berxulli have been protesting for the Thumane-Kashar road segment for more than 2 months. This segment was given to the oligarch Bashkim Ulaj and according to the data, a beam will be placed on the road.

Residents say that with the current project, the construction company is carrying out works without a building permit. The road touches their agricultural lands, for which they say they have not been compensated.

" Give us an urgent answer as to why the project was diverted. We have an answer that Gener 2 did not apply for a construction permit. How is she working? There are only works left here in Bërxulë, which we stopped on the first day ", said one of the citizens.

"This is theft that the government is doing to us, theft that the construction company is doing to us," said another citizen.

"We were freed from the Germans, but we are being ruled by Albanians from traitors", said the protester. Due to the residents' protest, none of the opposition has come to the defense of their properties.
