Since early March 2019, when he called a protest setting the first precedent in Albania's modern history of a president calling the people in protest against the government, Ilir Meta has often repeated the referendum and willingness to face the party in elections.

He reiterated this position at the height of the clash with the Socialists for the row of appointments to the Constitutional Court in November 2019, repeated it throughout 2020 and restressed it before 25 April 2021, when even that election called a referendum.

But as many times as he has challenged the Socialists with a showdown at the ballot box, so many times he has been able to withdraw in recent years. In the referendum of 25 April 2021, the LSI led by the spouse, Monica The Great received only 4 terms.

It is now being rumored that Meta will again seek a showdown at the ballot box, even looking forward to completing this showdown. Time is not far away. The first challenge to test itself after 5 years in the Presidency are next year's local elections, where Meta is said to be considering running.

He's got the opportunities. After 24 July he declared that he would return strongly to active politics, challenge the current party by any means, thus briefly "make the name in opposition", as if five years in the Presidency maintained the unity of the people.

So, stripped of the president's suit, Ilir Meta can declare himself a candidate as early as 25 July, even start the campaign as 'unemployed' who will remain after this date and challenge Erion Ioniin in elections expected to be held between 15 April and 15 May next year.

From the Socialists, the current mayor, Erion Iire threw the handle on the challenge.

"People say don't run Ilir Meta? I answer: Isalla! We know he's not one of those men who keeps his word, but I say the island is running! We have defeated Illyrian, and Sali; We've beaten them apart, we've beaten them both together, so we don't care! We are getting the fact that we are doing our accounts, so in this period we will regenerate our party" said The Oblast during the meeting with the Socialists of Unit 3.

Alone, or with Saliu, Ilir has the opportunity to either keep his word and challenge the vote in the Tirana test, or pass even this promise of waiting showdown that will be covered by time in silence.
