Company merger after Triport concession in Vlora, which paves the way for Samir

Triport's concession in Vlora has been granted a union of five companies, versus the obligation to invest in the construction of the city's new freight port at least 45 ml euros without VAT.

The beneficiary companies of this concession are Agbes Construction, Besta, Premion Construction & Maintenance, ITE Grup and Arkonstudio.

The form of the concession is BOT, so build, operate and transfer with a 35-year term. This means that the five companies will build and operate this airport for 35 years, collecting in its accounts all the revenues that are collected and then transferring the work to the Albanian state.

As for technical conditions, the Vlora Integrated Port project envisions the construction of a port infrastructure at the current fishing port in Vlora with which it will be possible to transfer commercial activity for processing floating tools carrying passengers and goods from the Port of Vlora to the new port, to make way for the construction of the Port of Vlora in the yacht port, hotels and luxury residences under the concession won by Samir Mane.

The new cargo and passenger port, under technical criteria, must accommodate at least 133 floating fishing vessels of up to 30 metres, two floating passenger transport vehicles up to 152 metres long and a floating freight transport vehicle with a length of 120 meters.

The criteria stipulate that the new port must ensure that the navy accommodates at least 400 ships. The Navy must accommodate at least 400 fishing vessels. Dockings of different types of vessels should reflect the typical modern fleet expected to sail in the Ionian and Adriatic seas, while also protecting against possible changes in the markets and characteristics of ships.

Meanwhile, regarding the albanian state's obligations during construction, Infrastructure Minister Belinda Balluku said the Albanian government would only start paying the concessionaire after construction of the port has been completed.
