The ridiculous excitement over Berisha's "historic" visit to the

Sali Berisha has been in the USA for two days.

He is expected to attend a Republican convention, and has also met with Albanian immigrants living there.

Understandably, there was also enthusiasm at the meeting, as Berisha continues to be a beloved figure for early democrats, especially for those who left Albania in the early years, as they personify him with the man who brought them democracy.

The most enthusiastic person was Sali Berisha himself, as 5 years after being declared non grata by his family for major corruption, he had the opportunity to travel to the USA.

The non grata has not fallen, but it is important to him that he is in the US, which he is selling as a rematch against his opponents here in Tirana.

Because in fact, this visit is being made for precisely this reason.

Not that it will fix our relations with the US, as Berisha says, because they have been fine and will continue to be so, as long as Albanian politics is a vassal of America.

But this ridiculous enthusiasm of the people who accompany Berisha, or those who have remained in Tirana, who appear on TV 24 hours a day or make statements on social networks, calling the visit of the DP leader to America "historic" for Albania, at "this critical moment for the country", is unfathomable.

There is nothing historical about this visit, neither for Albania nor for Berisha himself.

For Albania, no, no, because nothing has happened in Tirana-Washington relations.

Not for nothing, but Rama is the first to have given "carte blanche" to the Americans, who have free rein in Albania.

It is enough to recall here the justice reform, which was carried out precisely at the insistence of the US.

But for Berisha, there is nothing historical about this visit.

He remains non grata for him, as well as for his family.

The Doctor's visit is simply a pilgrimage to show Albanians that he can invade the USA.    

But that's all.

So it's best to avoid these ridiculous statements, saying that the Doctor has closed the story long ago.

And not with honor, despite the costly efforts he has been making for years to convince Albanians that the US was wrong about him.
