Fire in the mountains of Durrës, favored by the strong wind
Fire in the Hills of Kallm

A fireplace broke out today in the area of Kallmit Hills in Durres.

Currently some firefighters are working on bringing the blaze under control, but the rugged terrain and strong wind make it difficult to do their job.

The area is uninhabited and mostly filled with shrubs. The possibility of the arson being deliberate, for opening new pastures, is not excluded.

This year, 79 people were caught in the fires in 55 cases, with 62 criminal offenders, of whom only 22 are behind bars and the rest on the loose.
