The Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) candidate for prime minister and former president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, admitted the defeat of his list in the early parliamentary elections.

Vučić said that the Student List has won the elections in Serbia, thus admitting defeat.

"We do not have the final results. Many will be surprised and you will understand how much some have lied and what they have invented. I want to inform you that, based on the stratified sample, it is clear that we have lost these elections. The victory was secured by the list of the student bloc, which will have from 135 to 140 seats, while we have about 105. No other entity has entered parliament ," Vučić said.

"In the end, yes, the Hungarians of Vojvodina have won 3 mandates, while the Albanians have won one mandate, and I'm talking about the SDA. Don't take my word for it. According to the sample, we have about 1 million and 720 thousand votes, but this figure is not important at this moment. They have about 2 million and 200 thousand votes ," Vučić declared.
